Fabric checking standards
1. Composition testing: Determine the fiber composition and content of the fabric through fiber qualitative (composition identification) and fiber content (composition quantification) testing.

2. Physical performance testing: Including breaking strength, tear strength, peeling strength, pilling, abrasion resistance, dimensional change rate (dry cleaning, water washing), etc.

3. Chemical safety testing: Detect heavy metals, formaldehyde, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic dyes, pH value, phthalates, alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (APEO), etc. to ensure that the fabric meets safety standards and will not cause harm to human health.

4. Color fastness test: evaluate the color retention ability of fabrics under various conditions, including water fastness, perspiration fastness (acid and alkali, soap fastness, dry cleaning fastness, etc.

5. Functional test: verify the special functions of fabrics, such as comfort, antibacterial, waterproof, UV protection, flame retardant, antistatic.

Fabric checking procedure
1. Appearance inspection: including the appearance, weight, density, feel, pattern, color, piece length, weft arc, etc. of the fabric.

2. Quality requirements: The fabric cannot have severe weaving defects such as coarse yarn, missing yarn, etc. that affect the wearing effect.

3. Stain inspection: There must be no oil stains, rust stains, color stains, watermarks, scratches, powder marks, etc.

4. Inspection quantity: at least 10% of the batch of fabrics shall be inspected, or the inspection quantity shall be determined according to customer requirements.

5. Recording and marking: Inspect on the fabric inspection machine, record the defects and make obvious marks on the surface of the fabric.

4-point fabric inspection
It is a commonly used fabric inspection method, mainly used to evaluate the defects of woven and knitted fabrics. The core is to score according to the size and severity of the defects, with a score range of 1-4 points.

4-point fabric inspection principles
1. The total deduction points for warp and weft defects in the same yard shall not exceed 4 points
2. Holes, narrow patchwork, seam ends and other full-width defects shall be deducted 4 points
3. Continuous defects (such as horizontal bars, edge-to-edge color difference, narrow seals or irregular cloth width, creases, uneven dyeing, etc.) shall be scored 4 points per yard
4. Defects within 1 inch of the edge of the fabric are not scored

4-point fabric inspection method
Inspectors check the defects of each piece of fabric according to the defect scoring standard, record them on the report form, and give penalty points as fabric grade assessment.
