What is Pre-Shipment Inspection?


PSI, abbreviation of Pre-shipment Inspection, is also called FRI (Final Random inspection) by some inspection companies. Pre-Shipment Inspection refers to an inspection carried out by the all the goods are produced and packed completely. By conducting a sampling test in accordance with the AQL standard, to have an overall assessment of the quality of the goods.

Why I need a Pre-Shipment Inspection?

Inspectors selected samples according to AQL standard randomly from the bulk. This inspection can serve as a powerful reference for you to judge the quality of the whole batch of products.

When I need a Pre-Shipment Inspection?

A Pre-Shipment Inspection is suggested to be scheduled at least 2 working days before the planned loading date, so that the buyer can have enough time to check the report and decide whether to release the shipment as planned, or to discuss corrective actions with the manufacturer.

What criteria are covered in a Pre-Shipment Inspection?

It includes quantity, workmanship, on-site tests, packing, weight, assortment, spec etc.

The inspection report will be sent to the client within 24 hours upon the completion of inspection. Also, the after-sales service will contact the client to collect the feedback soon.
